Nuapada, Sept. 28 : In an era where timely and credible information forms the backbone of effective public communication, strengthening the flow of government information to citizens assumes special significance. With this objective, Kalyani Dash, OIS-I (SB), Joint Director and Additional Deputy Director of the Information & Public Relations Department, Northern Division, Sambalpur, visited Nuapada and reviewed the functioning of the District Information and Public Relations Office.
During her visit, Dash was received by District Information and Public Relations Officer Ramakanta Biswas along with the office staff. The Joint Director also interacted with the officials and staff to understand the day-to-day activities, operational challenges and requirements of the office. She emphasised the need for timely action to address the issues identified and encouraged the officials to further strengthen the effectiveness and outreach of departmental activities.
Highlighting the changing landscape of public communication, Dash stressed the strategic use of social media and other communication platforms to ensure that information about government welfare schemes, development initiatives and public-oriented programmes reaches citizens accurately and without delay.
She underlined that effective information dissemination should not merely communicate government programmes but should also make essential public information more accessible and understandable to the people.

Such coordination, she noted, can help strengthen the dissemination of verified and timely information and build a more effective communication bridge between the administration and the public.
