District Collector Holds Public Grievance Hearing at Boden: 50 grievances registered; officials directed to ensure speedy redressal

Nuapada, Sept. 21: A public grievance hearing camp was held at the Boden Block Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Nuapada District Collector Madhusudan Dash on Monday. The Collector heard various grievances and problems raised by members of the public and directed the concerned departmental officials to take necessary steps for their prompt resolution. A total of 50 grievances were registered during the camp, including 37 individual grievances and 13 group grievances. After listening to the complainants, the Collector instructed the concerned officials to initiate necessary action and ensure timely disposal of the grievances. The Collector also reviewed the status of grievances received during previous public grievance hearing camps. He directed the officials to expedite the disposal of pending cases and ensure that the complainants receive appropriate services without unnecessary delay. During the camp, financial assistance of Rs. 5,000 each from the Red Cross Fund was provided to Mohan Jagat and Akaru Kuldeep of Litisargi village through cheques. To provide quality healthcare services to the public, a health camp for senior citizens and an Ayushman Arogya Camp were also organised at the venue. Health check-ups were conducted and necessary healthcare services were provided to the beneficiaries. Kamale Nial, a 98-year-old resident of Dumerbahal village, also underwent a health check-up at the camp. On the occasion, sarees and identity cards were distributed among Swachh Sathis. Among those present at the grievance hearing camp were Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Lambodar Dharua, Sub-Collector Surmi Soren, Divisional Forest Officer Prantiy Aziz Khan, Chief District Medical Officer Dr. Ishani Mitra and Boden Block Vice-Chairperson Sangeeta Majhi. Deputy Collectors Sheikh Nasim and Roshan Kumar Jena, Boden BDO Chinmay Sagar and Tahasildar Sarita Gupta assisted in conducting the camp. A large number of district-level officials, departmental engineers, line department officials, block-level officials and employees, along with members of the public and media representatives, attended the grievance hearing camp.
