Sinapali, 15/08: Commemorating the glorious journey of 80 years of independence, the 80th Independence Day is being celebrated across the country today with great enthusiasm and patriotism. On this occasion, the Sinapali Forest Department also observed the national festival with dignity and pride. At the Independence Day programme held within the premises of the Forest Department office, Ranger Kameshwar Tandi attended as the chief guest and hoisted the national flag. After the flag hoisting ceremony, all those present sang the national anthem and paid tribute to the freedom fighters and great heroes of the nation. The programme was attended by Foresters Kandarpa Sunani, Chudanath Saraf, Ramaranjan Raut, and Meghnada Majhi, along with all forest guards, foresters, and staff of the department. The entire event was coordinated by Forester Kandarpa Sunani, while Chandan Meher and Sagar Dandsena extended their support in its smooth conduct. On 15th August 1947, India emerged as a free nation after a long struggle against colonial rule, marking the beginning of a new chapter in history. This day is not only a celebration but also a solemn occasion to remember the sacrifice, struggle, and dedication of countless freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the country. The national flag today reminds us of unity, integrity, brotherhood, and responsibility towards the nation. As the Forest Department personnel are continuously engaged in the protection of natural resources, forests, and wildlife, the occasion also strengthened the commitment towards environmental conservation and the vision of building a greener India. In conclusion, all were urged to sincerely fulfill their duties for the security of the nation, protection of nature, and overall development of society.
