Collector Hears 74 Grievances at Komna Public Hearing Camp, Red Cross Assistance Distributed
Komna, July 13: A district-level public grievance hearing camp was held at the Komna Block premises in Nuapada district on Monday under the chairmanship of Collector Madhusudan Dash. The camp was organised to ensure prompt redressal of public grievances and make government services more accessible and citizen-centric. A total of 74 grievances were received during the hearing, including 61 individual and 13 collective petitions. Collector Dash personally heard the grievances and directed the concerned district-level and departmental officials to take immediate and effective steps for their timely resolution. On the occasion, Sahanaz Begum and Jagadish Deep were provided immediate financial assistance of ₹5,000 each from the Indian Red Cross Fund. In recognition of their outstanding contribution to sanitation and cleanliness, Kaushalya Majhi of Darlipada Gram Panchayat, Nilachakra Majhi of Pendraban Gram Panchayat, and Dayanidhi Duria of Budhikomna Gram Panchayat were felicitated with the ‘Swachhata Doot’ award. Among those present at the camp were Chief Development Officer Lambodar Dharua, Sub-Collector Surmi Soren, Chief District Medical and Public Health Officer Dr. Dwarikanath Satpathy, Additional Superintendent of Police Ranjit Nayak, Regional Divisional Forest Officer Aziz Khan, and Komna Block Vice-Chairman Jayadev Pradhan. Deputy Collector Sheikh Naseem, Komna BDO Pabitra Kumar Samal, and Tahasildar Sarbeswar Jal coordinated the proceedings. District-level officers, engineers, officials from various line departments, block-level staff, and media representatives also attended the programme. As part of the initiative, a health camp for senior citizens and an Ayushman Arogya Camp were also organised at the block premises to provide healthcare services to the public.
