Emotional Farewell Accorded to Khariar WEO Rajat Kumar Sahu for His Dedicated Service

Khariar, July 13: An emotional farewell ceremony was organised on Monday at the Kuligaon Ashram School campus in Nuapada district to honour Rajat Kumar Sahu, Welfare Extension Officer (WEO) of Khariar Block, in recognition of his dedicated service and significant contribution to the field of education. The programme, chaired by Sushil Kumar, witnessed the participation of teachers, school staff, and prominent members of the local community, who came together to express their gratitude and appreciation for Mr. Sahu’s commitment, professionalism, and people-centric approach during his tenure. Serving in Khariar Block for nearly three years, Mr. Sahu earned widespread respect for his sincere efforts in strengthening educational activities and supporting the development of Ashram schools across the block. He has recently been transferred and has joined his new assignment at Nimapada in Puri district. Several educationists and headmasters paid rich tributes to his service during the farewell function. Among those present were Laiban Bag of Chanutmal Ashram School; Pitabas Jagat, Headmaster of Chanabeda Ashram School; Tikeram Meher, Headmaster of Bhuliyan Sikuan Ashram School; Indra Bag, Headmaster of Gandabahali Ashram School; and Rupadhar Seth, Headmaster of Birighat Ashram School. Senior teachers Rajanikanta Joshi, Shubhakar Majhi, Satya Patel, Kailash Chandra Bag, Alekh Sahu, Ishwar Nial, Prafulla Jagat, Lingaraj Meher, Dharmu Meher, Sahadev Raut, Cheru Tandi, Pradyumna Pati, Pradeep Mahapatra, Latika Manjari Raut, Manini Meher, Jhuni Chalan, Samyukta Joshi, and Bhargabi Meher were also present. Speakers fondly recalled their memorable association with Mr. Sahu, describing him as a humble, disciplined, and compassionate officer who always placed the interests of students and educational institutions at the forefront. They praised his sense of responsibility, administrative efficiency, and unwavering dedication to public service. The ceremony concluded with heartfelt wishes for his success in his new posting. Participants expressed confidence that Mr. Sahu would continue to serve society and the education sector with the same sincerity and excellence that earned him admiration throughout his tenure in Khariar.
