Jal Chaupal Programme Organised at Konabira Gram Panchayat

Komna, July 10:
A Jal Chaupal (Water Dialogue) Programme was organised at the premises of the Konabira Gram Panchayat Office in Komna block on Friday to promote water conservation and sustainable water management.
The programme was presided over by Sarpanch Smt. Mithila Naik. Addressing the gathering, District Water Supply Coordinator Ashok Kumar Naik highlighted the importance of water conservation, judicious use of water resources, and the need to create public awareness on protecting this vital natural resource.
Panchayat Executive Officer Ranjit Kumar Rana explained the guidelines governing the utilisation of funds allocated to the Gram Panchayat for water supply and sanitation. He informed the participants about the proper implementation of these funds to improve drinking water facilities and sanitation services.
Social worker Gokul Naik, Ward Members Narendra Nial, Bhumisuta Jani, and Dalimba Kaibarta also attended the programme.
Representatives of various Women Self-Help Groups (SHGs), including Dhaleswari Nial (MBK), Tevabati Deep (CRP), Sanjulata Jagat (CRP), Minakshi Ketaki (Krushi Mitra), Upama Jagat, Kaushalya Tandi (Prani Mitra), Chittamani Jani, Laibani Bariha (GPLF President), Indu Kaibarta (Secretary) and Saraswati Raiti (EC Member), actively participated in the awareness programme.
Among the Panchayat staff, SEM Kartik Jagat and Pump Operator Dhanurjaya Chhatria, along with local dignitaries, community members and residents from nearby villages, were present.
The programme concluded with Padman Dandsena, Community Support Officer, presenting the summary of the discussions, while Lalit Kumar Nial, Supply Assistant, proposed the vote of thanks.
