The programme was organized by the Zilla Parishad, Nuapada, under the chairmanship of District Collector Madhusudan Das. The training was attended by Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Lambodar Dharua, Additional Project Director Kshamanidhi Bhoi, all BDOs, and senior officials from various government departments. The VBG-RAM scheme aims to provide guaranteed wage employment to rural households while creating durable community assets in rural areas. Under the programme, every eligible rural family will be provided with 125 days of wage-based employment, thereby strengthening livelihood security and promoting sustainable rural development. Addressing the participants, Collector Madhusudan Das emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination and teamwork for the successful implementation of the scheme. He urged all BDOs to thoroughly understand the operational guidelines and ensure effective execution at the grassroots level. He stated that the scheme is not only intended to generate employment but also to create long-lasting rural infrastructure and productive assets. As the implementation is scheduled to begin from the following day, he instructed officials to ensure the installation of project information pillars at all work sites and to carry out regular supervision and monitoring of ongoing works. The Collector also stressed the need to include migrant workers residing in the district under the scheme and ensure 100 percent employment coverage for eligible beneficiaries. He warned that any negligence, irregularity, or violation in implementing the programme would invite strict action against the responsible officials as per government rules. During the training session, officials were briefed on the scheme’s operational framework, project planning, implementation procedures, monitoring mechanisms, and field-level execution strategies to ensure smooth and transparent implementation across the district.
